Coastal Oceanographics releases new driver
for
Ocean Data Equipment Corporation's Bathy-500MF
November 10, 1999 - Coastal Oceanographics releases new driver for ODEC's Bathy-500MF Multi-Frequency Survey Echo Sounder. The new Bathy500.dll supports the industry standard serial output format, PMC dt, utilized by ODEC's Bathy 500MF. The new driver available for download (here) was tested at Coastal Oceanographic's headquarters in Middlefield, Connecticutt. |
To incorporate the new Bathy 500.dll for use in Hypack, copy the device driver file (Bathy500.dll) to the DEVICES subdirectory under the Hypack program installation directory. For example, if you originally installed the Hypack Hydrographic Survey Software to C:\HYPACK, then copy the Bathy500.dll device driver file to C:\HYPACK\DEVICES directory. |
| To load and use the new Bathy500.dll device driver in Hypack follow these
steps: 1. From the Hypack main menu, select PREPARATION->HYPACK HARDWARE. This loads the Hypack Hardware program. 2. Select DEVICE->ADD DEVICE... for the Hypack Hardware application window. This displays the SELECT DEVICE TYPE dialog box. 3. Click on the "OceanData Bathy 500" selection so that it is highlighted as shown in the figure below. Next, click "OK" to accept the selection. |
4. Once the Bathy 500 device driver is selected, the DEVICE SETUP dialog box appears. Type in a name for this driver and set the device options according to instructions found in your Hypack Survey Software User Manual. The DEVICE SETUP dialog box is shown below. |
