Question:
I purchased the mass storage module for the Bathy 1500 and have been recording data to the removable drive. How can I replay this data and print it?
Answer:
ODEC released a Windows based software package in December 1999 allowing replay of Bathy 1500 data stored in *.BIN files. If you purchased your Bathy 1500 before December 1999 you can receive a copy of the software by contacting ODEC technical support. You will require a storage drive for your office PC or laptop to read the disks. Contact ODEC tech support for more information. Data replayed from the Windows based software can be printed (single page) to any Windows compatible printer or can be continuously printed to a TDU 850 printer.

Question:
Hello! I´m a hydrographer who bought, some weeks ago, a Bathy 1500. I´m trying to record to the external mass storage, but I can´t make this work, and I don´t know the reason. I read the chapter 3.11.4 (Mass Disk Storage) and I think I´m doing it correct. If you can help me about this, please, answer me as soon as possible. Thanks a lot. DF
Answer:
| First, please review section 2.4.5 in the Bathy 1500 manual
which states that the mass storage unit must be powered on before the Bathy
1500 is powered. Also the mass storage device must be connected to the Bathy
1500 using the adapter cable (parallel to 50 pin mini Centronics) supplied
with the system before powering either the mass storage device or the Bathy
1500. If you are doing these steps as described above and it is still not working then I will require additional information to solve this problem. Once the storage device is connected properly and the systems powered in the proper order, please let me know what occurs when you try to turn the mass storage function on according to the instructions in section 3.11.4.1 of the user manual. |
Follow-up: Thank you, this fixed problem. DF
