Cranston, Rhode Island. June 20, 2023 – SyQwest Inc., a leading supplier of tactical solutions for US Navy surface ship and submarine sonar systems and components, announced today that the U.S. Navy has awarded it a five-year ID/IQ contract.
Under the contract, SyQwest Inc will manufacture, and test TR-233 transducers used on the US Navy fleet of submarines. The TR-233 is a submarine high frequency underwater communications transducer.
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, R.I., is the contracting agency. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) is the Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare.
